Accommodation

We are situated on the shores of Lake Padarn at the foot of Snowdon and can accommodate up to forty-five young persons plus leaders in a single group. For every nine young persons, one group leader comes free of charge.

Provides dormitory accommodation for up to 32 over two floors, the bedrooms are on the first floor and sleep between one and eight persons. Some of the bedrooms are located in an annex known as the Clyd.

The Eric Watts Room was named after the former Kent County Council Youth and Community Officer who supported the application to the lottery which helped fund the building of this room.

It sleeps 4 (1x Double 2x Single beds) has en-suits facilities and is fully furnished with access from the main courtyard.

This is an ideal base for a small family group we are able to offer this room on a bed only basis dependant on the groups resident on site due to child protection and safe guarding responsibilities.

The ground floor is also accessible with its dining room, lecture room, lounge and small shop.

KMC is keen to encourage wheelchair users to come to KMC and are committed to providing challenging activities to all our clients. We always prepare our programmes and activities in advance with our visitors and we would aim to tailor make our programmes in order to take account of the abilities of all group members.

This provides dormitory accommodation for 12 persons and is totally self-contained.

The Lodge is ideal for small groups who wish to self-cater.

The Lodge is fully equipped with drying facilities, kitchen, showers, toilets, telephone and central heating. The sleeping accommodation is divided into three rooms of six, four and two bunks. We provide duvets and all bed linen. Basic outdoor equipment is also included in the hire charge. Specialist equipment such as canoes and ropes are not for hire although if KMC instructors are booked, then this equipment is included in the hire charge.
